NOTD: China Glaze For Audrey

It seems like China Glaze is ever growing in popularity. This is most likely the most talked about color. The shade is smiliar to the iconic Tiffany & Co. wrapping. I almost wanted to put little white bows on the tips to complete the look.

It's love <3

Lush's CoalFace Review

Now don't get me wrong, I love Lush just as much as the next person but I wouldn't consider myself a lush "junkie." I've spent a good deal of money there but nothing that would be considered unhealthy. I choose to do that MAC, but anywho. The other day while I was visiting our local lush I was browsing the facial cleansers. I already have Angels on Bare Skin but I've been having a little bit of trouble with oil recently because of the crazy Las Vegas weather we've been having. So I was looking at the Dark Angel scrub when one of the sales people came up and started to tell me that Dark Angel is made for people with REALLY oily skin, and unless I have super oily skin it's gonna dry me out and do more damage than good. Afterwards she pointed out Coal Face, which is made for people with oily to normal skin. Now I have combination skin, so I don't have a very oily face but what she said next is what sold me. She explained that she has combination skin and she'll wash her face with the Coalface and then Angels on Bare Skin. The oil absorbing effects of the Coalface keep the oil at bay, while the Angels on Bare Skin moisturize and heal the other damages, so it seems like a perfect mix. And when things seem perfect, get them. So here's what I think.

What they say:

Who would have thought charcoal and liquorice could get along? One is tough and gritty, the other sweet and syrupy. But charcoal and liquorice could just be the odd couple of skin care, teaming up to fight oily, troubled skin in our Coalface cleanser. Powdered charcoal removes impurities and mildly exfoliates while liquorice heals naturally. Sandalwood oil tones the skin (and mediates should charcoal and liquorice disagree about anything). (via: Lushusa.com)

Ingredients:

Liquorice Root Decoction (Glycyrrhiza glabra), Propylene Glycol, Sodium Palm Kernelate, Sodium Stearate, Rosewood Oil (Aniba rosaeordora), Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Powdered Charcoal, Sandalwood Oil (Santalum album), Glycerine, Sodium Chloride, EDTA, Tetrasodium Etidronate, *Linalool, Perfume, Silver Edible Lustre (Potassium aluminum silicate, Titanium dioxide, Iron oxides and hydroxides).
*Naturally occurs in essential oils (via: Lushusa.com)

How to Use the Product:

Moisten the cleansing bar with water and rub in your hands to create a lather. Apply to your face in a gentle, circular motion, rinse thoroughly, pat dry.(via: Lushusa.com)

Product: 3.5 out of 5
Packaging: N/A
Quality: 4 out of 5
Overall: 4 out of 5
Would I buy again? Yes
Where to buy: Lush.com, Lush Stores
Price: $51.80 per pound

PROS:
-Nice lather
-A squeaky clean feeling after rinse
-Minimized pores
-Balanced oily skin
-Nondrying

CONS:
-Smells like licorice
-The run off is black which makes a mess
-"Melts" easily, so it needs to keep dry.
-Expensive

Overall?
Over all I do like this product, it's expensive though. Also it seems for some people it has the exact opposite effect that it's suppose to give. For some I've hear it's overly drying and and causes them to break out. I haven't had that problem yet, but all in all I seem to have very good skin. Also to counteract the drying, which is the oil being absorbed I wash my face with Angels on Bare Skin as well. Which is very moisturizing. I suggest though you do use a excellent moisturizer if you're planning on using this wash as your primary cleanser.

For the price, it's a luxury not something that is a necessity. While I did see an improvement in my skin, its not enough for me not to cringe at the price. For 51 dollars want to be scrubbing my face with gold, not coal. But I give props to Lush, I'll buy it again. And they can laugh all the way to the bank. But it's an excellent face wash. I'd recommend it to a friend

NOTD: China Glaze V

I was at Sally's the other day and I was going through their sale rack, and I came across this very unusual color, it's called "V" by China Glaze I suppose it could be a Roman Numeral for Five, but either way this cream color is absolutely gorgeous. I love it. Plus it was only $2.99 so I got it for a steal too! I love China Glaze, I'm trying to get more, but at 6 bucks a pop it's an expensive hobby.

But isn't everything beauty?

Beauty is pain....and expensive.

French Nail Tips with Glitter

This look was super fun and super easy. The only thing that kinda sucked about doing it was having glitter ALL OVER ME. Oh well, what's wrong with a little glitter? :]

Products used:
Sally Hansen HD Nail Polish in Blu
Konad Special Top Coat
MAC Reflex Glitter in 3D Silver
Ulta Drip Dry Drops
Out the Door Top Coat

Steps:
1. Apply three coats of the Sally Hansen Nail Polish in Blu all over your nail. You can use any color, but I like how the finish on this one looks.

2. Once that dries take the Konad special top coat and draw on your tip just as you would when your doing any french manicure.

3. Before that dries, take the reflex glitter with some kind of scooper and sprinkle the glitter on the special nail polish. Make sure it's completely covered, then tap off your nails and violia. Glitter nails. Repeat for all your fingers

4. Take your Ulta drip dry drops and put a few drops on the tips to help lock in the glitter, and after a minute go wash your hands.

5. Finally put on your favorite top coat, I'm using out the door which will help make my polish last a long time.

Hope this helps!

MAC Eyeshadow Finishes

When I first started off with MAC I was so naive to the world of makeup. I just knew that blush went on your cheeks, and lipstick on your lips. I was a complete newbie. So when I went down to MAC and bought my first eyeshadows I was a little confused on the different finishes. Now that I've purchased more and more eyeshadows and used them I know know the difference and can see the difference. So it's time to pass on the knowledge.

There are 9 different finishes, they differ in the pigmentation and the blendability. So lets jump right in:

Steamy:Bluish-green w/gold pearl (Frost)
Frost: An iridescent shine that adds a highlight quality

Wedge: Soft muted beige taupe
Matte: A dull, nonglossy finish

Matte2: Intense, opaque matte finish, rich color payoff
Tete-A-Tint: Caramel brown

Lusters: glass-like finish or a subtle sheen finish
Greensmoke: Tarnished olive

Satin: soft subtle non-frost, light-sheen
Orb Soft: peachy-beige

Starflash: creamy, highly metallic finish
Dreammaker: Frosty yellow gold

Velvet: Soft look finish with high-color intensity
Beauty: Marked Black-red with sparkle pearl

Veluxe Pearl: very pigmented, soft, blendable, and shimmery
Expensive Pink: Pink with duochrome

Veluxe:Superfine pigment rich and very luxe. Supple to apply. Provides silky smooth matte finish.
Kid: Beige cashmere (Veluxe)

What happened to your youtube?

So I don't know if you guys have checked out my youtube page recently. But you'll see that I have NO VIDEOS. No, that wasn't some brilliant plan that I had. Youtube decided it was hungry and ate my account. Today I was on it and all of a sudden it logged me out and when I tried to log back in it said "Account permanently closed" I seriously cried. Because I really do love doing youtube videos. I was so upset when I thought I had lost my username and all my vidoes. Of course I don't keep a back up of all my videos either because it takes up so much space on my hardrive. Well thanks to quick thinking on my friend's part he got my account back for me, and when I got it back my videos were there. However about two hours later ALL MY VIDEOS WERE GONE D:

So I've put up a quick one just to let you guys know I'm alive. And I didn't like poof. I'm hopefully planning on uploading a crapton of videos, I had like fifty somethiing. So I'll be uploading one almost every single day. Which means I can actaully keep my blog up to date. So when you're reading my blog just keep in mind that all my previous posts were about videos and you can't really see them anymore. Baah D: But oh well it's a brand new start.

I love you guys, I seriously love you guys. All 300 of you. I know it's not like a super alot. But I'm not doing this so I can get famous or rich. I'm doing it because I actually like you guys.

Oh, you may be wondering the reason my youtube did get deleted. Well apparently it's just a glitch in the system, and I was the lucky duck who's account got eaten. We should just count our blessings and be happy we didn't lose the channel all together.

Keep your eye out for new videos!
