Loreal HIP Paint vs MAC Paint

Now as you all know, I'm absolutely in love with the Loreal HIP line, the pigmentation is wonderful and I love the blendability. I could go on for hours about all the wonderful things about it, but that will be a video at a later time. So, now into what this blog is actually about. A comparison between the HIP paint in secretive and MAC's paint in bare canvas

You all know me and my love for bargin hunting. So when I first saw the paints I got all excited and thought to myself "Gee, loreal is really getting into this stuff, they're duping a lot of the MAC products" So I had to splurge for the paint. Now I got a buy one get one so I still got a deal, but I was more excited for getting a potential dupe of a MAC product.

So I got back into my house all excited and open the product and right away tried to swatch it. I bought secreative because it seemed like the closest match to the MAC paint I already owned. So I swatched them on my hand they were an exact match color wise I was quite happy. I did notice a fair amount of glitter but at first glance I was okay with it. After swatching the two on a note card the HIP still seemed like a perfect dupe.

However my hopes were soon crushed after I used it a few times. IT MAKES A HORRIBLE BASE. It doesn't add any holding power, nor does it really dry. It keeps a constant oily feel. I don't really care for it. I've used it about 10 times and here is my over aall opinion of it:

Product: 1 out of 5
Packaging: 3 out of 5
Quality: 2 out of 5
Overall: 2 out of 5
Would I buy again? No, it's really not worth it. It's a waste of money. Perhaps I could take up oil painting with it.
Where to buy:Like all of the HIP products check out your local drugstore and Ulta has a fine selection of loreal HIP stuff.
Price: Around $7

PROS:
-if you're looking for a very glittery base it's wonderful.
-the color intially before rubbing in is a great nude base.
-I feel kinda like a jerk if I don't put SOMETHING good, but really there isn't anything good about this product.

CONS:
-THIS SUCKS D:
-no pigmentation
-a horrible base
-TOO MUCH GLITTER
-oily
-never really dries

Overall?
So, while this started out to find a dupe for a MAC paint, it failed horribly. However I did learn a lesson, it's worth saving up for the real deal instead of trying to find the cheaper way out. Cheaper isn't ALYWAYS better. So I don't find this product useful at all. It's not a good base and really I feel like I should return it to Michael's as an oil paint.

In short:
THIS IS NOT A MAC DUPE.

I hope this helps

Eucerin Gentle Hydrating Cleanser Review

Eurcine Gentle Hydrating Cleaner
Great for people with sensitive skin, who have a few pimples, but not full out breakouts. It’s wonderful for people with combination skin or dry.
Product: 5 out of 5
Packaging: 5 out of 5
Quality: 4 out of 5
Overall: 4.5 out of 5
Would I buy again? Heck yes I would, meet my new HG face wash.
Where to buy: Basically any drug store or Target or Walmart. I found mine at Ulta
Price:
$5-7

PROS:
- Fragrance Free, which is great for people with sensitive skin.
- Removes ALL face makeup on the first washing.
- Non-drying
- A nice Velvet cream
- Evens out skintone
-Pump bottle = love <3

CONS:
-There isn’t really much of a lather, and well- I like bubbly things. So I suppose this isn’t really a con. Rather just an annoyance.

Overall?
Well, the first time I went to go buy this stuff I went through HELL trying to find it. It seemed almost everywhere I looked it was either sold out or the store didn’t carry it. But once I found it, it was well worth the hunt. I finally got over my obsession with acne, and realized I don’t really have it. I just have pimples. Therefore this cleanser is made for me. I adore it. It washes away the dirt and grime, not to mention my makeup. So I dub this my Holy Grail. Get it. Love it. :]

3.7.09 Haul

It's haulage time! Woo! Don'tcha just love shopping? I do, except the spending money part. That part kinda sucks... a lot. I hate being broke. Anywho, lets get started.

The Coastal Scents Blush Palette! Aaaah yes sir, I'm so happy I got it. It has a nice variety of shades which is great, because now I can ACTUALLY USE DIFFERENT BLUSHES FOR DIFFERENT LOOKS. Wow, imagine that.

Dollar store finds! I got two Maybelline Shadow Effects, they're basically shadesticks, but metallic-y.

Above left to right: BoneFX and AmberFX

Rimmel Lipstick! My favorite lipstick of all time and I have three brand new colors!

Above left to right: Dizzy, Vintage, and Crush

I'm trying to build up my lip collection, and I really like these glosses, they remind me of the dazzle glasses from MAC, they're super pigmented and they last a really long time.

Above left to right: Undeniable Mauve, Sangria, Bloom, Barely Nude, Dulche De Leche.

Wet 'n Wild Wet Slick 563B

Jane Liquid Eyeliner in Sterling and Wet 'n Wild H20 Proof Liquid Eyeliner in 881

HIP DUOS! Love love love loooove 'em. And as you all know, I'm gonna catch them all! I really want to eventually own them all.

Left to Right: Charisma, Rascal, Gilded, Platinum, Saucy.

Hope you guys enjoy!

I LOVE THIS STUFF. Buy I say. Buy it. I promise by all that I have that it is amazing. :] I love love love love it. It helps with my acne and just over all balances my skin tone. Even if you do have dry skin, or even oily skin, it still helps it out. This stuff is amazing for people like me. Combination skin with little to no breakouts (minus the volcanic ones)

It's a great steal, and plus with all the discounts of but one get one, there's not reason why you can't give it a go. Plus it won't make or break your wallet.

Lemme know how you like it!

The Perfect Red Lips

Yes, I did it. I made a really bright lip tutorial, from the person who can hardly re apply lip product, and will prefer chapstick over gloss any day. But I had a request, and who am I to deny you guys something :D

Sooo any who, lets get into what I used.

I moisturized my lips with good ole vaseline, which is amazing and cheap.
Next I primed my lips with C O Biglow Lip Moisturizer from Bath and body works.
Afterwards I lined my lips with Rimmel's 1000 kisses in "Red Dynamite."
Followed by the most intense Lipstick ever from Rimmel in "Red Hot"
To give my lips a glossy effect I used Loreal's HIP Shinestruck Liquid Lip Color in Turbulent.
(You can stop there)
But since I'm super cool I added a 3 dimensional look I used Max Factor's Maxalicious Glitz in Guilty Pleasure in the center of my lips for a little bit of an extra pop! :D

So I hope you guys enjoy, and if you have any questions please feel free to ask.
